Founded in 2015, the Central California Wind Ensemble has performed regular biannual concerts of professional literature for winds & percussion.
Our Mission
The Central California Wind Ensemble is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to providing California’s Central Valley with access to high quality, live musical performances. We offer professionally modeled performance opportunities for the Valley’s emerging musical artists.
Our History
The Central California Wind Ensemble was founded in 2015 and, until 2024, was the “Youth” Wind Ensemble. Since its founding, the CCWE has enjoyed presenting biannual, professional-quality, concert performances in the summer and winter.
Remaining key to its core, the CCWE was created by Founder Martín Alexander Arellano as an avenue for Valley musicians pursuing studies & professional careers away from the area to return home and share live music with the community where they began their musical journeys. Since 2015, our concerts have had musicians return to perform with diplomas from the University of Texas at Austin, University of Denver, University of California Los Angeles, Utah State University, and many others.
We are proud to serve our community in offering FREE live musical performances and encourage the growing arts community of the Merced-Stanislaus-San Joaquin region.
